The Kosovo Association for information and communication Technology (STIKK) had their first General Assembly meeting on January 28. Ambassador Mr. Sverre Johan Kvale was present and held a guest speech to the Assembly’s participants.
STIKK is an association for information and communication technology and is a sister organization of “ICT Norway”. It was founded in 2006 under the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce (KCC) and actively started operations in late 2008, thanks to the joint initiative of six founder companies, additionally supported by Norwegian Government through Crimson Capital and Norwegian ICT Association.
STIKK’s vision is to play a central role in stimulating dynamic growth of the ICT sector across Kosovo by opening up new opportunities and increasing the overall competitiveness of the sector. Their mission is to create a better ICT business environment by improving standards and educational opportunities and advocating with the government on behalf of its members to ensure that the sector will attract new business and investment.
Ambassador Mr. Sverre Johan Kvale mentions in his speech that he is confident that this cooperation will not only transfer of competence and experience between the two organizations, but also into firm business projects like match – making between Kosovar – and Norwegian companies to local ICT companies.
