Norway is an active promoter of the 2009 FAO Port State Measures Agreement to combat illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing. As a result, the Norwegian government has funded a global series of regional capacity-development workshops to prepare for the entry into force of the Agreement. The last of these workshops took place in Tirana last week.
